How do brace sores occur?
Brace sores are usually caused by the braces rubbing against your gums and/or lips and causing friction/irritation. It is perfectly normal to develop brace sores, especially when you first start to wear braces; however that does not mean that they aren't painful! The good news is that there are plenty of ways to help treat the pain and encourage the sores to heal.
